Throttle Body: Inspection

Check that throttle plate does not bind or stick.
Check for wear, deposits or coolant damage.
Check that throttle valve moves smoothly through its range; closed to fully opened.
NOTE: Throttle body and throttle position sensor are replaced as a unit.
