Combination Meter: Installation

  1. INSTALL COMBINATION METER GLASS 
    1. Engage the 9 claws and install the combination meter glass.

  2. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Position the combination meter assembly on the steering column as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE: Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad or combination meter assembly.
    2. Connect the connectors.

    3. Engage the 2 positioning pins of the combination meter assembly.
    4. Engage the 2 claws and install the combination meter assembly.
    5. Remove the protective tape.
  3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  )

  4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 2 clips.

    2. Install the instrument cluster finish panel subassembly with the 2 screws.
  5. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination) (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination) (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  10. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Telescopic) (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  11. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic) (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    NOTE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal (See INITIALIZATION ).
