Valve Guide

Using the Service Tool (09221 - 3F100A), withdraw the old valve guide toward the bottom of cylinder head.

Recondition the valve guide hole of cylinder head so that it can match the newly press-fitted oversize valve guide.
Using the Service Tool (09221 - 3F100 A/B), press-fit the valve guide. The valve guide must be press-fitted from the upper side of the cylinder head. Keep in mind that the intake and exhaust valve guides are different in length.
1. Valve guide length
2. Intake: 45.8-46.2 mm (1.8031-1.8189 in)
3. Exhaust: 54.3-54.7 mm (2.1378-2.1535 in)

After the valve guide is press-fitted, insert a new valve and check for proper stem-to-guide clearance.
After the valve guide is replaced, check that the valve is seated properly. Recondition the valve seats as necessary.
