Repair Procedure: Installation
CAUTION:
Do not turn the ignition switch ON and do not contact the battery cable while replacing the front impact sensor.
- Install the new Front Impact Sensor.
- Tighten the Front Impact Sensor mounting nut.
Tightening torque : 6.9 ~ 8.8 Nm (0.7 ~ 0.9 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 6.5 lb.ft)
- Connect the Front Impact Sensor connector and install the radiator upper cover. (Refer to FRONT BUMPER )
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- After installing the Front Impact Sensor, confirm proper system operation:
- Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
