Troubleshooting for RSE system and audio unit

Problem Possible causes / Solution
The disc becomes stuck or blocked.
  1. Press the Stop / Eject button to release the disc.
  2. The player will attempt to eject the disc up to three times performing the Auto-Reload function.
  3. Once the Auto-Reload function is complete, press the Stop/Eject button again to release the disc from the player.
  4. If a disc is still stuck or blocked in the RSE unit, turn the ignition off and then on again to reset the RSE unit.
There is no audio in the headphones.
  1. Verify that the headphone is equipped with batteries, and that the batteries are changed.
  2. Insert or replace 2 AAA batteries to resume headphone function.
The RSE does not work.
  1. Press the PLAY button. If the display does not show "NO DISC", then there is no power.
  2. Check the power connection and the fuse.
  3. Turn the vehicle ignition off and back on to reset the RSE.
The remote control does not work.
  1. Make sure you are pointing the remote control at the face of the RSE at a 45° angle.
  2. Change the battery. [Device requires one(1) CR2025 battery.]
  3. Use the control buttons on the RSE display panel.
Continue receiving an [O] when a button is pressed. Invalid button press. The function you are trying to perform is not available.
RSE has no sound, display, illumination at all. - If ,when connected to power supplier, RSE unit works well, check the connector.
Spring in the latch is missed. - Re-assemble spring with latch.
Mechanism cannot read the disc.
  • Check if the disc has some scratches or pits.
  • In case the disc is stuck, after doing power off reset by pulling both audio fuses, wait 5 minutes an reinsert the fuses with key off. After turning on the ignition, press the eject key again.
Audio is not interfaced with RSE.
  • Check the connection between Audio and RSE through multimeter.
  • And measure the keydata line of the RSE and verify that 5 volts is coming out.
