Check DDM
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Substitute with a known-good DDM and Check if the DTC is erased
- Is the DTC erased?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good DDM and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace DDM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Substitute with a known-good DDM and check for proper operation.
