Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the driver airbag module (A) after removing mounting bolts (B).

    Refer to AIRBAG MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING .

  3. Remove the steering wheel after loosening the nut and disconnecting the connector (A).

    Refer to STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT .

  4. Loosen the screws (4 EA) on the opposite side of the steering wheel.

  5. Disconnect the audio remote control switch connector (A).

  6. Remove the audio remote control switch (A).
