Check Multifunction Switch

  1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
  3. Check combination of wiper signal while operating front wiper switch.
    1. Specification
      WAVEFORM REFERENCE

      Current DATA OFF INT LOW HIGH
      F/W HIGH OFF OFF OFF ON
      F/W LOW OFF OFF ON OFF
      F/W INT OFF ON OFF OFF

  4. Is the measured current data within specifications?

    YES

    1. Go to CHECK IPM  procedure.

    NO

    1. Substitute with a known-good multifunction switch and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace multifunction switch and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.
