SERVICE INFORMATION
By design, certain fasteners utilized in various Kia models are strictly intended for "one time use". Though not limited to the following, some examples are: axle shaft nuts with stake collar, cotter pins, washers with locking tabs and other similar hardware, including threaded fasteners with pre-applied "thread-locking adhesives."
WARNING:
Do not re-use these parts during re-assembly. Always replace with new parts to maintain the proper locking feature of the design. Failing to do so may result in unintended loosening and/or loss of the fasteners, which in turn could lead to the loss of an assembly's integrity.
Always use the appropriate tools (e.g., torque wrench) to follow the tightening specifications for the fastener.
