Repair Procedures: Removal

[Low Pressure Fuel Line] 

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - Repair procedures - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

  3. Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A).
  4. Disconnect the vapor hose (B) which is connected from the PCSV.

    CAUTION: When removing the quick-connnector with the clip removing tool (A), be careful not to damage the plastic clip (B). If the clip is damaged, it can cause a fuel leak due to bad connection and could result in a fire.

  5. Remove the fuel tank.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "FUEL TANK ")

  6. Remove the LH front muffler.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")

  7. Remove the front heater protect LH (A).

  8. Remove the mounting nuts (A) and then, remove the fuel & brake line protector (B).

  9. Remove the mounting nuts (A).
  10. Remove the vapor tube line fixing clip (B) by using a common driver.

  11. Remove the mounting bolt.
  12. Remove the vapor tube and fuel tube line fixing clip (A) by using a common driver.

  13. Remove the fuel line.

[High Pressure Fuel Line] 

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

  3. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe.
    1. Remove the bracket mounting bolt (A).

    2. Remove the high pressure pipe bracket bolt (A).
    3. Remove the high pressure pipe flange nuts (B).

      NOTE: Remove the installation high pressure fuel pipe flange nut from the high pressure fuel pipe with the special service tool [SST No.: 09314-3V100].
