Component Inspection

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Monitor "Pressure sensor" parameter on the "Current Data  " with GDS while firmly pressing brake pedal and releasing.
  4. Use the GDS and check that the pressure sensor value rises while pressing the brake pedal.

  5. Is the parameter displayed changes as pressing/releasing brake pedal?

    YES 

    • This fault might be intermittently caused by poor connection in HECU. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures
      1. "SAS Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261 ) - ESP only
      2. "Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 ) - ESP only
      3. "Variant Coding" (refer to C1702 )

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
