Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check open in harness 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and PCM harness connector.

   Specification:  Below 1.0Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check short to battery in harness" below.

   NO 

   • Repair open in harnesses. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

■ Check short to battery in harness 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. IG "ON"
3. Measure the voltage between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 0V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check short to ground in harness" below.

   NO 

   • Repair short to battery in harnesses. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

■ Check short to ground in harness 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Infinity

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Component Inspection" below.

   NO 

   • Repair short to ground in harnesses. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
