Control Circuit Inspection

■ Open Or Short Check 

1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect Brake Lamp Relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module).
3. IG "ON".
4. Measure voltage between Stop Lamp S/W terminal of brake lamp relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) harness connector and chassis ground while applying/releasing brake pedal.

   Specification:  Apply: B+, Release: Approx. 0V

5. IG "ON".
6. Back probe and measure voltage between Stop Lamp signal terminal of brake lamp relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) harness connector and chassis ground while applying/releasing brake pedal.

   Specification:  Apply: B+, Release: Approx. 0V

7. Are the measured values within specifications?
   • Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

     YES 

     NO 

     • Repair open/short in control circuit between the brake lamp relay and HECU and then, Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
