Repair Procedures: Removal
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
- Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
- Remove the roof side moulding.
(Refer to Body Side Mouldings - "ROOF SIDE MOULDING ")
- Remove the rear package tray trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "REAR PACKAGE TRAY TRIM ")
- Remove the high mounted stop lamp.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP ")
- After loosening the mounting clip, then remove the rear window glass side cover (A).
- Using a screwdriver or ornament remover, remove the rear window glass lower cover (A).
- Disconnect the rear window glass defogger connector.
- Spread the WD-40 on the side of rear window glass.
- Using masking tape create some alignment marks (C) to aid in reinstallation.
- Cut out the adhesive using the cutter (A).
Information
- Please use the cutter with a blade length between 8-12 inches.
- Enough on the upper (A) and lower (B) side (C) of rear window glass and then cut out the adhesive using the cutter tool (09861-31100).
- Remove the rear window glass (A).
NOTE:
- When removing and installing the rear window glass, an assistant is necessary.
