Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
  • Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
  1. Remove the roof side moulding.

    (Refer to Body Side Mouldings - "ROOF SIDE MOULDING ")

  2. Remove the rear package tray trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "REAR PACKAGE TRAY TRIM ")

  3. Remove the high mounted stop lamp.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP ")

  4. After loosening the mounting clip, then remove the rear window glass side cover (A).

  5. Using a screwdriver or ornament remover, remove the rear window glass lower cover (A).

  6. Disconnect the rear window glass defogger connector.
  7. Spread the WD-40 on the side of rear window glass.
  8. Using masking tape create some alignment marks (C) to aid in reinstallation.

  9. Cut out the adhesive using the cutter (A).

    Information 

    • Please use the cutter with a blade length between 8-12 inches.

  10. Enough on the upper (A) and lower (B) side (C) of rear window glass and then cut out the adhesive using the cutter tool (09861-31100).

  11. Remove the rear window glass (A).
NOTE:
  • When removing and installing the rear window glass, an assistant is necessary.
