Control Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) , METAL CORE PCB BLOCK " and disconnect ECM and Metal Core Block (PCB #1) connectors.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 7 (Engine Control Relay Control) terminal of main relay harness connector (Metal Core Block (PCB #1) and Pin No. 94 (Engine Control Relay Control) PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1 Ω
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 94 (Engine Control Relay Control) PCM harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: ∞ (Infinity) Ω
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "CONTROL RELAY POWER CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in control circuit between PCM and Metal Core Block (PCB #!1) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
