Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER .")

  3. Remove the battery (+) cable bracket (A) by loosening the mounting bolt (B)
  4. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector (C).

  5. Disconnect the starter cable (B) from B terminal on the solenoid and then disconnect the connector from the S terminal (B).

  6. Remove the starter (A) by loosening the 2 bolts holding the starter.
