Component Inspection: Notes

■ Perform Injector Actuation Test 

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
  3. Perform "Actuation Test"  for Injector.

■ Injector Performance Inspection 

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Connect VMI to KDS/GDS and select "Oscilloscope".
  3. Connect Channel A positive probe to Pin No. 1 (-) and Channel B positive probe to Pin No. 2 (+) on the injector connector.
  4. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.

    Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

    CH. A (-) - Injector MAX voltage 66.2V

    CH. B (+) - Injector MAX voltage 63.8V

■ Injector Resistance Inspection 

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect Injector connector.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (High side) terminal and Pin No. 1 (Low side) terminal of the Injector. (component side)

    Specification:  Approx. 1.40Ω [25°C (77°F)]

■ Confirm Part Inspection 

  1. Does the Injector operate properly? (Check variation)

    YES 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

    NO 

    • If problem still occurs, replace Injector and perform "Resetting Adaptive Values" of Vehicle S/W Management below.
    • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
