Component Inspection
■ Inhibitor Switch Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect safety plug from the main battery (Wait for 15 minutes after OFF).
- Disconnect Inhibitor Switch harness connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) and Pin No. 8 (P position) terminals of Inhibitor Switch. (P range position status)
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) and Pin No. 4 (R position) terminals of Inhibitor Switch. (R range position status)
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) and Pin No. 7 (N position) terminals of Inhibitor Switch. (N range position status)
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) and Pin No. 10 (D position) terminals of Inhibitor Switch. (D range position status)
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Power) and Pin No. 6 (B position) terminals of Inhibitor Switch. (B range position status)
Specification: Approx. 1 Ω below
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- Problem still occurs, replace, Inhibitor Switch and then go to, "Verification Of Repair" procedure.
