Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire.

    Tightening torque: 

    88.2 - 107.8 N.m (9.0 - 11.0 kgf.m, 65.0 - 79.5 lb.ft)

    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the wheel & tire.
  2. Remove the stabilizer link nut (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    98.0 - 117.6 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb.ft)

  3. Remove the wheel speed sensor bracket bolts (A) and brake hose bracket bolt (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  4. Loosen the strut mounting bolts and then remove the hub and knuckle assembly from the strut assembly.

    Tightening torque: 

    196.1 - 215.7 N.m (20.0 - 22.0 kgf.m, 144.7 - 159.1 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the strut lock nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    53.9 - 73.5 N.m (5.5 - 7.5 kgf.m, 39.8 - 54.2 lb.ft)
