BSD Radar Calibration

NOTE: * Check before Correction
  1. Refer to "BLIND SPOT DETECTION RADAR CALIBRATION ", Check the vehicle condition and whether the BSD unit or bracket is deformed (mounting angle, twisted vehicle body, etc.).
  2. Refer to "Correcting the BSD Angle" in "BLIND SPOT DETECTION RADAR CALIBRATION ", After replacing the BSD unit or bracket, with the bumper removed, use the BSD unit correction tool set to perform angle correction.
  3. After checking and correcting the BSD unit angle, perform the BSD radar correction procedure.
  1. Connect to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON"
  3. Select "Vehicle S/W Management" with.
  4. Select "BSD Radar Calibration" under Vehicle S/W Management.
  5. Refer to FOLLOWING procedure to perform Vehicle S/W Management

  6. Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with KDS after performing Vehicle S/W management.
  7. Is DTC status displayed as Present?

    YES 

    • Carefully check for correct variant coding set.
    • If not, perform Variant Coding procedure with correct vehicle setting.
    • If problem still occurs, substitute with known-good BSD ECU and then check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace BSD ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • In case of BSD ECU is replaced, BSD Radar Calibration must be performed.

    NO
