Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Open the trunk.
  2. Remove the luggage side cover (A).

  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) connector (A).

    Battery (-) Terminal Tightening Nut  :

    7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  4. Shut off the High Voltage circuit.

    (Refer to Hybrid Control System - "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES ")

  5. Remove the high voltage battery system assembly.

    (Refer to Hybrid Control System - "HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY SYSTEM ")

  6. Disconnect the power relay assembly connector (A).
  7. Remove the power relay assembly (B) after loosening the mounting nuts.

    Battery (+) Terminal Tightening Nut  :

    7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  8. Remove the low voltage lithium battery sensing connector (A) from a BMS ECU.
  9. Remove the low voltage lithium battery (B) after loosening the mounting nuts.

    Battery Mounting Bracket Bolt  :

    19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb.ft)
