SERVICE INFORMATION
This bulletin provides information regarding initial setup, cleaning/maintenance, and user precautions for the Coolant/Antifreeze Flushing Equipment PN 25328 MQ4N0QQK that was distributed to dealers on December 09, 2022. The coolant flushing machine is designed to address a "Refill Inverter Coolant" message displayed on the instrument cluster of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Electric Vehicles (EV) due to poor flow of coolant/antifreeze inside the low-conductivity coolant pipe. Low-conductivity coolant can form crystals over time due to repeated heating and cooling. Air pressure is used to circulate coolant throughout the cooling system and then strained through a stainless filter which captures the coolant crystals and debris.
Follow the procedures outlined in this bulletin to set up and maintain/clean the coolant flushing machine.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Secure the handle pipe to the body pipe tightening the two (2) hex bolts and two (2) hex nuts.
- Assemble the two (2) hose hangers to the handle pipe using two (2) hex bolts and two (2) hex nuts.
- Install the air coupler.NOTE: Ensure that Teflon Tape (PTFE) is applied to the air coupler threads to prevent air leakage.
- Attach the blue 'Inlet' hose to the 'Joint Adapter'.
Attach the red 'Outlet' hose to the 'In' adapter of the 'Filter Housing'.
-
- Air Coupler: Allows for an air connection to be attached to the machine.
- Air Pressure Gauge: Monitors the air pressure (Do not exceed 0.3Mpa).
- Pump Toggle Switch: Turns the pump 'ON' and 'OFF'.
- Air Toggle Switch: Turns the air flow 'ON' and 'OFF'.
- Pressure Control Valve: Controls the air pressure.
- Pull to release lock.
- Push to set lock.
- Turn clockwise to increase air pressure.
- Turn counterclockwise to decrease air pressure.
- Air Inlet Valve: Prevents air backflow.
- Filter Housing and Stainless Filter: Holds stainless filter. Captures coolant crystals and debris.
- Outlet Hose: Circulates coolant from the vehicle to the water bottle (I).
- Water Bottle: Holds waste coolant.
- Inlet Hose:
Circulates coolant from the water bottle (I)
to the vehicle.
MAINTENANCE/CLEANING PROCEDURE
To drain the used coolant from the Water Tank:
- Place the 'Inlet' hose in a bucket.
- Turn the 'Air Inlet Valve' so that it is facing 12 o'clock.
- Turn the 'Pump' toggle switch 'ON'.
- After performing the coolant flush, crystalized coolant will become trapped in the 'Stainless Filter'. To remove coolant crystals:
Turn the 'Filter Housing' counterclockwise.
Remove the 'Stainless Filter'.
Pour remaining coolant in the bucket.
- Using an air blow gun hooked up to shop air, thoroughly blow off all the crystalized coolant from the 'Stainless Filter' mesh from the inside of the filter to the outside.IMPORTANT: Ensure that the (1) filter housing and two (2) filter gaskets are installed when reinstalling the filter and housing. If the gaskets become damaged and/or lost, a gasket kit is available: P/No. 06130 30300
- Fill the 'Water Bottle' with 1-liter of distilled water and run the 'Pump' for ten (10) seconds.
- Pour the remaining coolant in the bucket.IMPORTANT: If the waste coolant is not properly cleared from the flushing machine prior to use on the next vehicle, blue and pink coolant will mix, causing the new coolant to turn purple.
USER PRECAUTIONS
- The use of this equipment for any purpose other than it's intended use is strictly prohibited .
- Ensure that ONLY distilled water and Kia approved coolant is used.
- Do not use over specific air pressure (0.2-0.3Mpa)
- Never operate the pump without distilled water or coolant.
- When not in use, keep machine indoors.
- When using in cold weather states, the 110V Motor Pump can ice over. If this occurs, carefully de-ice the pump before using.
