Monitor GDS Data

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
  3. Refer to LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS and lift vehicle with suitable lift.
  4. Engine "ON".
  5. Place gear lever position to "D" and Turn "OFF" TCS/ESC(ESP) system.
  6. Monitor "Input Speed(PG-A)", "Shift Lever Switch", "Vehicle Speed" and "Engine RPM" parameter in "Current Data"  with GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to Fig 1 below

  7. Is displayed parameter within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
  8. Ignition "OFF".
  9. Refer to REPAIR PROCEDURES and LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS and remove necessary parts to get access to ATM Solenoid connector and lift vehicle with suitable lift.
  10. Engine "ON".
  11. Back probe and measure signal waveform between Pin No. 8 (Signal) terminal of ATM Solenoid harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  High - Approx. 1.5 V/Low - Approx. 0.7 V (Refer to Fig 2 below)

  12. Is measured value within specification?

    YES
