Repair Procedures: Replacement: Front

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

    After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.

  2. Remove the seat back cover.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT SEAT BACK COVER ")

    NOTE: Improper mounting of the front seat back cover, so interfering with the normal deployment of side airbags and front seat backrest ensure that the cover is well seated.
  3. Remove the side airbag module (A) by loosening the mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    5.8 - 7.7 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.3 - 5.7 lb-ft, 52.0 - 69.4 lb-in)

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
