Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

NOTE:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without damaging the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the rear console cover.
(Refer to Floor Console - "REAR CONSOLE COVER ")
After loosening the mounting screws, remove the rear air vent duct (A).
Tightening torque:

2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft, 17.4 - 26.0 lb.in)

Loosen the mounting screws, remove the console armrest (A).
Tightening torque:

2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft, 17.4 - 26.0 lb.in)

To install, reinstall in reverse order of removal procedure.

Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
