Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without damaging the surface.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  2. Remove the rear console cover.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "REAR CONSOLE COVER ")

  3. After loosening the mounting screws, remove the rear air vent duct (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft, 17.4 - 26.0 lb.in)

  4. Loosen the mounting screws, remove the console armrest (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft, 17.4 - 26.0 lb.in)

  5. To install, reinstall in reverse order of removal procedure.

    Information 

    Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
