WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Kia Seltos. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If BCW/RCCA has any problems, you may check items below

  1. Check bumper cleanliness: If the bumper is excessively contaminated with snow, mud, etc., it may result in erroneous warnings or degraded functioning of the system.
  2. Check the vicinity of the bumper: If the metal sticker is attached near the installed radar, an incorrect alarm can occur.
  3. Check the bumper for configuration and installation condition: The alarm performance can be deteriorated, if the bumper mounting or sensor mounting is abnormal after the accident.
  4. Missing calibration' DTC occurs: Check the bumper, bracket, and sensor installation status.
    • Bumper - Mounting improperly, or external deformation.
    • Bracket - Deformed or detached bracket, or an incorrect bracket location.
    • Radar installation status - Loose sensor installation screw, or foreign substance intake after sensor installation.
  5. Check the error in the switch or the switch LED: Input the switch before maintenance, check switch LED operation and circuits.
