Component Inspection: Notes

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON & Engine OFF. Using a GDS, clear the DTC.
  2. Turn the ignition switch back OFF.
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 1 minute.
  4. Disconnect the PODS-G ECU connector.
  5. Replace the "PODS-G ECU" with an usable one and check for proper operation.
  6. Did the same DTC return?

    YES 

    • Replace the main wiring of the PODS-G ECU with an usable one and check for proper operation. If it works properly, put the new wire in place. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO 

    • Replace the "PODS-G ECU" with a new one. Then, conduct "Zero Re-Calibration of Occupant Classification Sensor" and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
