SERVICE INFORMATION

This Pitstop provides information regarding the extended rear view monitor camera feature on all Kia vehicles equipped with AVN5.0Wide and Display Audio 2.0Value head units. Some customers may have concerns that the back-up image is displayed for too long when the vehicles gear is switched from reverse 'R' to neutral 'N' or drive 'D'. The extended rear view monitor camera feature will display the back-up image on the AVN/Display Audio screen when the gear is shifted from reverse 'R' to neutral 'N' or drive 'D' and will turn off when the vehicle speed is above 6MPH (10KM/H). Follow the procedure outlined below to enable/disable the extended rear view monitor feature. When the feature is disabled, the back-up image will only be displayed while the vehicle is in reverse 'R'.

Select 'Camera Settings'.
Select 'Display Contents'.
Select 'Extended Rear View Monitor' check box to disable/enable feature.

Select 'Setup'.
Select 'Display'.
On the left, scroll down and select 'Extended Rear Camera Use'.
Select 'Extended Rear Camera Use' check box to disable/enable feature.
