Variant coding procedure
- Ignition "OFF".
- Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON".
- Select "Vehicle S/W Management" on KDS.
- Perform
"LKAS/MFC Variant Coding" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with KDS.
- Clear any DTCs stored in the system with KDS.
- Re-check DTC in the system with KDS.
- Did the same DTC is stored in the system?
YES
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
NO
- If no problems still occurs, replace MFC ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
- Fault might be caused by not performing variant coding after MFC ECU replacement. Go to "next" procedure.
