Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING:
  • DON'T remove the camshaft position sensor while the engine is running or right after engine is turned off. The part and engine oil is hot and can cause burns.

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the RCV control solenoid valve mounting bolt (A).

  3. Remove the purge control solenoid valve mounting bolt (A).

  4. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (A).

  5. Remove the camshaft position sensor (B) after loosening the mounting bolt (A).

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner and intake hose.

    (Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the intercooler inlet pipe & hose assembly (A).

    Hose Clamp Bolt: 

    4.9 - 6.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.7 kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.1 lb.ft)

    Pipe Mounting Bolt: 

    14.7 - 19.5 N.m (1.5 - 2.0 kgf.m, 10.8 - 14.5 lb.ft)

  4. Disconnect the vacuum hoses (A).

  5. Remove the low pressure fuel line mounting nut (A).

  6. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (A).

  7. Remove the camshaft position sensor (A) after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
