Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning to work.
  3. Remove the floor console.

    (Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ")

  4. Loosen the bolts and then remove the rear air vent duct (A).

  5. Pull up the lock of the SRSCM connector, and then disconnect the connector (A).

  6. Loosen three (3) SRSCM mounting bolts from the SRSCM, and then remove the SRSCM.

CAUTION: Turn OFF the ignition switch before removing or installing SRSCM or other SRS components to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
