DTC P0197-00: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Low Input: General Description

The continuous variable oil pump system allows variable control of engine oil pressure by controlling the pressure inside the hydraulic chamber of variable capacity oil using the proportional control solenoid valve, the Engine Control Module (ECM) controls the solenoid valve through the pressure and temperature signal of the engine oil. OPTS measures the temperature and pressure of the engine oil controlled by this continuous variable oil pump system. The value measured by OPTS is transmitted to the ECM and used for efficient control.
