Repair Procedures: Removal

- Rotate the crankshaft damper pulley clockwise so that the piston of cylinder 1 is located at the compression upper dead point to match the timing mark on the timing chain cover with the groove on the damper pulley.
- Remove the timing chain cover.

- Remove the timing chain tensioner (A).NOTE: Using a thin screwdriver, connect the timing chain tensioner, loosen the ratchet and secure the piston with a stopper pin (A).
- Remove the timing chain tensioner arm (A).
- Remove the timing chain cam to cam guide (A).
- Remove the timing chain (A).
- Remove the timing chain guide (A).
- Remove the oil pump chain.

- Remove the crankshaft sprocket (A)
