Repair Procedures: Removal

Rotate the crankshaft damper pulley clockwise so that the piston of cylinder 1 is located at the compression upper dead point to match the timing mark on the timing chain cover with the groove on the damper pulley.

Remove the timing chain cover.

Remove the timing chain tensioner (A).

NOTE: Using a thin screwdriver, connect the timing chain tensioner, loosen the ratchet and secure the piston with a stopper pin (A).
