Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Rotate the crankshaft damper pulley clockwise so that the piston of cylinder 1 is located at the compression upper dead point to match the timing mark on the timing chain cover with the groove on the damper pulley.

  2. Remove the timing chain cover.

    (Refer to " Removal  ") 

  3. Remove the timing chain tensioner (A).

    NOTE: Using a thin screwdriver, connect the timing chain tensioner, loosen the ratchet and secure the piston with a stopper pin (A).

  4. Remove the timing chain tensioner arm (A).

  5. Remove the timing chain cam to cam guide (A).

  6. Remove the timing chain (A).

  8. Remove the oil pump chain.

  9. Remove the crankshaft sprocket (A)
