Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ".)

    NOTE: When removing the fuel pump relay, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the KDS after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A) and vapor hose (B).

  4. Remove the fuel tank.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "FUEL TANK ")

  5. Remove the fuel and brake line protector (A).

  6. Remove the fuel feed line & vapor tube line fixing clips (A).

  7. Remove the fuel line.
