Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the front wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "WHEEL ")

  2. Disconnect the brake hose bracket (A) by loosening the bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  3. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor bracket (A) by loosening the bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  4. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link (A) from the front strut assembly by loosening the nut.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.0 - 117.6 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE:
    • When loosening the nut, fix the outer hexagon of stabilizer bar link.
    • Be careful not to damage the stabilizer link boots.
  5. Remove the cowl top cover.

    (Refer to Body - "COWL TOP COVER ")

  6. Loosen the front strut upper mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    53.9 - 73.5 N.m (5.5 - 7.5 kgf.m, 39.8 - 54.2 lb.ft)

  7. Loosen the front strut mounting bolts and nuts and then remove the front strut assembly (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb.ft)

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  9. Check the wheel alignment.
