Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the front door window glass.

    (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS ")

  2. Remove the front door outside handle.

    (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ")

  3. Disconnect the front door main connector (A).

  4. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A).

  5. Loosen the front outside handle base mounting bolt (A).

  6. Loosen the front door latch mounting screws.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 Kgf.m, 5.0 - 8.0 lb.ft)

  7. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the front door module (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  8. Disconnect the connectors and front door module wiring harness (A).

  9. Remove the front door latch assembly.

    (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR LATCH ")

  10. Remove the front door speaker

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")

  11. Remove the front power window motor.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "POWER WINDOW MOTOR ")

  12. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
    • Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
