Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the glove box.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")
- Remove the audio and AVN head unit.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "AUDIO UNIT ")
- Remove the heater & A/C control unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) ")
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (DATC) ")
- After loosening the mounting screws and bolts, remove the crash pad center panel (A).
- Disconnect the start switch connector (A)
- Disconnect the glove box lamp switch connector (A) and glove box lamp connector (B).
- Disconnect the mood lamp connector (A).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure the connector is connected properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
