Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  2. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  3. Remove the glove box.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")

  4. Remove the audio and AVN head unit.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "AUDIO UNIT ")

  5. Remove the heater & A/C control unit.

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) ")

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (DATC) ")

  6. After loosening the mounting screws and bolts, remove the crash pad center panel (A).

  7. Disconnect the start switch connector (A)

  8. Disconnect the glove box lamp switch connector (A) and glove box lamp connector (B).

  9. Disconnect the mood lamp connector (A).

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
