On Vehicle Inspection

  1. Check the parasitic current.

(Refer to Charging System - "BATTERY ")

    Information

If the vehicle's parasitic current is being consumed by more than 100 mA, a fault code may occur in the battery sensor. Therefore, if the battery sensor fault code is displayed, measure the parasitic current current first before proceeding with the battery sensor replacement procedure.

  2. If the parasitic current measured value is normal, replace the battery sensor and perform the following procedure.
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON/OFF once and park the vehicle at room temperature for at least 4 hours. (The battery's stabilization time is required to measure the initial value of the battery's State of Charge (SOC).)
  2. After 4 hours, start ON/OFF twice or more and check the State of Function (SOF) of the battery by using the KDS.
