Release Residual Pressure In Fuel Line
NOTE:
- Some residual fuel may be released, so cover the connection with a cloth or the like before disconnecting the fuel line.
- Be sure to wear safety gloves and goggles before working.
- Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Remove the engine room junction box cover (A).
- Remove the fuel pump fuse (A).
- Connect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Start the vehicle (idling state) and when the engine stops by itself due to all of the fuel in the fuel line is exhausted, turn off the ignition switch.
- Proceed with the service or repair.
- Reinstall/reconnect all components in reverse order of removal. Start engine and confirm proper operation, and make sure there are no fuel leaks.
NOTE:
- After completing, clear DTC(s) using KDS scan tool. (the procedure described above will cause DTC to set)
