Release Residual Pressure In Fuel Line

NOTE:

Some residual fuel may be released, so cover the connection with a cloth or the like before disconnecting the fuel line.
Be sure to wear safety gloves and goggles before working.

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the engine room junction box cover (A).

Remove the fuel pump fuse (A).

Connect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Start the vehicle (idling state) and when the engine stops by itself due to all of the fuel in the fuel line is exhausted, turn off the ignition switch.
Proceed with the service or repair.
Reinstall/reconnect all components in reverse order of removal. Start engine and confirm proper operation, and make sure there are no fuel leaks.

NOTE:

After completing, clear DTC(s) using KDS scan tool. (the procedure described above will cause DTC to set)
