Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the retaining ring (A).

    NOTE: Be careful not to lose the retaining ring when removing it.
  3. Separate the Electric Waste Gate Actuator (EWGA) rod (A) from the turbocharger.

  4. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to " Removal And Installation  ") 

  5. Disconnect the EWGA connector (A).

  6. Remove the oil drain pipe (A) after removing the bolts and nuts (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.8 lb.ft)

  7. Remove the EWGA (A) after removing the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 - 13.7 N.m (1.2 - 1.4 kgf.m, 8.7 - 10.1 lb.ft)
