Removal & Installation: Removal
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Fold the rear seat back assembly (A) in the direction of the arrow.
- Move the rear seat assembly (A) forward as far as possible in the direction of the arrow.
- Cut the cover along the line (A).
- Remove the fuel pump service cover (A) after removing the screws.
- Separate and disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the center muffler assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")
- Remove the propeller shaft assembly.[4WD]
(Refer to Drivershaft and axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY ")
- Separate the fuel filler hose (A).
Tightening Torque:
3.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.9 - 3.6 lb.ft, 34.7 - 43.4 lb.in)
- Separate the ventilation tube quick-connector (A).
- Remove the side under cover (A).
Tightening Torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Separate the ventilation hose (A) and vapor hose (B).
- Remove the fuel tank protector (A).
Tightening Torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Support the fuel tank on a jack (A).
- Remove the fuel tank (C) after removing the fuel tank band (B) and bolts.
Tightening Torque:
39.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb.ft)
