Hydraulic System: Fluid: Replacement
- Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Remove the ATF drain plug (A), allow the fluid to drain out and then reinstall the drain plug.
Tightening torque:
34.3 - 44.1 N.m (3.5 - 4.5 kgf.m, 25.3 - 32.5 lb.ft)
NOTE: The existing ATF drain plug gasket must be replaced with a new one (do not reuse). - Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the ATF eyebolt (A).
- Fill about 5.0 l
of the ATF SP4M-1 through the ATF filler hole.
Recommended: ATF SP4M-1
The list of automatic transaxle fluid approved by KIA:
SK ATF SP4M-1, MICHANG ATF SP4M-1, NOCA ATF SP4M-1, S-OIL ATF SP4M-1
- Perform the ATF level check procedure.
(Refer to Fluid - "INSPECTION ")
- Install the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Lower the vehicle and install the ATF eyebolt (A).
Tightening torque:
4.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.6 kgf.m, 3.6 - 4.3 lb.ft)
NOTE: The existing eyebolt O-ring (A) must be replaced with a new one (do not reuse). - Install the air cleaner assembly.
