Timing Chain Cover: Installation
WARNING:
- When working on high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on high voltage system or related components, be sure to be familiar with and comply with the "HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION ". Failure to comply can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) and HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES .
- Install the timing chain cover.
- Before assembling the timing chain cover, remove the cured sealant from the surface on which the chain cover will be mounted.
- Apply the sealant to the interface (A) between the cylinder head and the cylinder block, and the interface (B) between the cylinder block and the ladder frame.
