Inspection Procedure: Notes

Visual/physical checks are carried out for the following conditions.
- Vacuum hose damaged, cracked and poor connection.
- Check Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve for malfunction.
- Check the rubber gasket on the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve for damage.
- Check ECM ground.
Check the MAFS and the ECTS for the following items.
- Poor connector contact and wiring damage.
- Check MAFS signals for increasing as the number of engine rotations increases. (Operate the accelerator pedal and check the KDS monitor.)
- It monitors KDS and checks whether the value of ECTS matches the actual engine temperature.
  Good
  - Go to "CKPS AND CMPS OSCILLOSCOPE INSPECTION " procedure.
  No Good
  - Repair as necessary and Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
