Shift Cable: Removal

Shift the shift lever to the N range.
NOTE: Use wheel chocks to prevent vehicle moved accidentally.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " AIR CLEANER REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - " BATTERY REMOVAL And INSTALLATION ")
Remove the shift cable (B) from the bracket after removing a nut (A).

Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - " FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the shift cable (A) after separating the snap pin.

Remove the shift cable retainer (A) after removing the nuts.
Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior.
