System Tests: Self-Test
To access self-test mode, turn ignition off. Unlock all doors and close hood, ensuring hood is securely latched. Perform the following procedure within 8 seconds.
Actuate hood release, turn ignition on (do not start engine), lock all doors, turn ignition off, then turn ignition on (do not start engine).
If self-test mode is correctly accessed, alarm horn will sound and LED will flash. The following checks can be made:
- Open and close any door or tailgate, LED will illuminate.
- Depress hood switch, hazard lights will flash.
- Check that engine cranking is disabled. To continue self-test, do not turn ignition off.
- Check volumetric protection. Use handset (transmitter) to enable ultrasonic unit, LED will emit one 5 second flash. System is now armed. LED will flash when interior is disturbed.
Turn off ignition or press handset (transmitter) to end self-test procedure. Alarm horn will sound indicating end of test mode.
