DETAIL
Should a fuel pump require replacement on a vehicle within the above VIN range, both a replacement pump and an adapter harness will be required. The original style of fuel pump fitted to the vehicle is no longer available as a spare part.
The adapter harness will permit replacement of the older style pump with the newer component.
CAUTION:
Two variants of the adapter harness are available because of different vehicle configurations. Ensure that the correct harness is selected for the vehicle under repair.
NOTE:
Vehicles built after the above VIN range do not require the adapter harness, however the new fuel pump ESR 3926 can be used.
ACTION REQUIRED
Replace fuel pump with new component and adapter harness, if required.
