Bleeding Brake System: Notes

WARNING: ABS hydraulic pressure can exceed 2755 psi (194 kg/cm2 ). Before bleeding or performing any system repairs, brake system must be depressurized. See DEPRESSURIZING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
CAUTION: Thoroughly clean exterior of brake fluid reservoir and cap before removing cap. Ensure fluid level in master cylinder is adequate at all times during bleeding procedure. Only use DOT 4 brake fluid with a minimum boiling point of 500°F (260°C) and complying with FMVSS 116 DOT 4. DO NOT use DOT 5 silicone brake fluid.
CAUTION: Brake fluid can damage paint. If brake fluid is spilled on paint, immediately rinse off with water.
