Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE: This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right side components are similar.

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift. Refer to: Lifting .
Remove the rear bumper.
Refer to: Rear Bumper .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the blindspot monitoring control module (BMCM) assembly.
NOTE: Only carry out the following step(s) if the new component is to be installed.

Remove the blindspot monitor control module (BMCM).
