PATHFINDER FAILS TO UPDATE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE ON NON MILD HYBRID VEHICLE (MHEV) ENGINE

ISSUE

When attempting to complete the "Update ECU" within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) menu on a Non - Mild Hybrid Vehicle (MHEV), PATHFINDER fails to download the latest software to the module.

NOTE: At the end of the routine, PATHFINDER may show a success message about the update being completed, but the VIN number is not correct, and no software has been loaded to the module.

CAUSE

PATHFINDER fails to resolve to the latest software within the PCM

PERMANENT CORRECTIVE ACTION

This concern has been resolved with the release of PATHFINDER version 306. The manual patch will no longer be available to download and this SSM will be deleted in 7 days.
